 The last ten years have been busy ones for east coast UK Hardcore DJ Anthony DUPONT. Getting started spinning records in 2000, DUPONT came of age in the dj booth becoming one of the most-loved dj/producers of the east coast rave scene. Back in 2003 DUPONT became a local legend with Danny Soundstream as "hardcore bad boys" PINKY AND THE BRAIN. Producing was the next step in a natural progression. In 2005, DUPONT began to make his own music. He collaborated with Mike Bounce to produce numerous hardcore tracks, like the "No Tomorrow" Mad World remix Trackitdown.net called "buffed-up and brilliant." His uplifting melodies and high-energy baseline began to gain recognition outside of the US and outside of the UK Hardcore fan base. By 2007 DUPONT was a resident dj for Raver's Only, helping to bring hardcore back to NYC fans with RO's lauded series of Candyball parties. He was now hearing from fans who lived farther and farther away from his base of operations on the eastern seaboard. He started getting bookings in LA, Salt Lake City, Arizona and Nevada, and meeting an ever wider circle of innovative artists and influences. He has shared the stage with Hixxy, Brisk, Darren Styles, Joey Riot, S3RL and many more of hardcore's top acts and when he hits the decks DUPONT displays a rare charisma and certainty that can only come from ten years of slavish devotion to the music and the hardcore scene. Offstage laid back vibe and NYC bridge-and-tunnel accent can lead people to underestimate him. But they do so at their own risk: There is a seasoned performer under that trendy t-shirt, and this music man's rise in popularity is due as much to his friendly and open personality as to his slammin' tunes. Summer 2010 marked DUPONT's first European gig as he took the stage in Loret Del Mar, Spain, at HTID In the Sun's ten-day blitz of sun, sand and hardcore melodies.
